BUKOWSKI is BACK with Gold!
Gold medal at Society of illustrators NY with a series of book covers created for the Italian language editions of the German-born American writer Charles Bukowski’s novels, poetry and short stories published by Feltrinelli, nine titles illustrated so far. Bukowski, famed for his gritty, explicit style of writing, depicted “a certain taboo male fantasy: the uninhibited bachelor, slobby, anti-social, and utterly free” said Michael Greenberg of The Boston Review. The illustrations Emiliano created needed to communicate both the titles and Bukowski himself, and they succeeded in doing so. Opening night for the exhibition is Jan. 4, 2013.

Hello,
I recently discovered your work through researching Amnesty International campaigns for a University project. Your ‘Voices for Freedom’ project is incredibly beautiful and sensitive, I think that can be even more hard hitting – anyway, thank you – now I have something really good to talk about for this presentation.
All the Best
