Emiliano Ponzi is an Italian illustrator and visual artist based in New York.

His illustrations appear in advertising, magazines, books, newspapers and animations, for clients that include Apple, The New York Times, Uniqlo, Le Monde, The New Yorker, Louis Vuitton, MoMa (The Museum of Modern Art), Lamborghini, Moleskine, Cartier, Barilla, Armani, Bulgari, Gucci, Martini, Hermes, Der Spiegel, Penguin Books, Hyundai, Esquire, Chronicle Books, Xiaomi, Vanity Fair, Pirelli, United Airlines, GQ, The Washington Post, The London Telegraph, Ita Airways, Montblanc, Loro Piana, Tiffany.

He has received numerous honors including the Young Guns Award from the New York Art Directors Club and the coveted Gold Cube from The Art Directors Club of New York. He has won multiple medals of honor (gold and silver) from the Society of Illustrators New York, recognitions from Print, How International Design Award, Communication Arts Illustration Annuals, American Illustration 3x3 Magazine Pro show. Awards of excellence from MGIP, IDA Design Award, Italian illustration Award, Tashen, Torino Città di Cultura, Lurzers Archive.

He wrote and illustrated several books: “10x10”, his first monograph, was published by Corraini in 2011 and sold out of both first and second editions. His first picture book “The Journey of the Penguin” was published in fall 2015 by Penguin Books New York for its 80th anniversary. His second one “ The great New York Subway Map” was published by the MoMa of New York in the 2017. In December 2018 he published “American West” with Corraini. The book was a collection of postcards appeared first on the New Yorker Art Instagram account as a daily diary of his 20 days journey in the Wester States of the USA. “Chronicle from the Red Zone “ was a daily note on the first Italy lockdown from March to May 2020, published first as a column on the Washington Post and then as a limited edition catalogue by Tapirulan in September 2020.
