Every once and a while you come across an artist who makes you want to jump up and down with excitement. Someone overflowing with ideas that are smart, sophisticated and conceptually on point. An artist who’s able to convey the right about of sensitivity and humor with the simplest stroke. Except for drinking american coffee, there is nothing this superstar can’t do.
Patty Alvarez (Newsweek)

From a candid and delicate spot drawing to an earnest and resolute full-page illustration, Emiliano has consistently proved to be conceptually rigorous and visually imaginative. The beautiful, rich and textured style of his illustrations belie the swift realisation of his work that unfailingly meets deadline.
Paul Mumby (Time magazine)

What first seduces us about Emiliano’s work is the beauty of the subjects, the line, and the delicacy of colors. Then we notice the small imperfections which enhance, never making the image dirty. I could stop here, but his seemingly simple rendering style in fact gives greater power to the correctness of the ideas. His work feels like the calm gaze of a tightrope walker over a personal narrative thread, a thread which opens the door to a deeper awareness of the world.
Sara Deux (Le Monde)

the very young Emiliano can already see the irony of life and transform it into choreography. Looking at his drawings is to me like observing Italy from the space: lots of people do absurd things, but the spectacular effect is garateed. What else we can ask to an illustrator?”
Beppe Severgnini, Best –selling author of “la bella Figura” and “ciao, America!”

Emiliano Ponzi has a great illustration style. His ideas are conceptual and he doesn’t stop until he gets it right”
Melissa Bluey-The Atlantic Monthly

No quotation, Emiliano Ponzi is Emiliano Ponzi. He works and makes his illustrations with insight and an absolutely personal stroke. He is naturally inspired and always renounces to didactic commonplaceness. He wants to be strong and firm in his ideas and the mark that distinguishes him springs up and surprise you. Even when you have commissioned a plate of spaghetti”
